A grand vase overflowing with giant daisies…
soft, romantic, a little retro — and full of nostalgia.

Remember sitting in the grass, plucking petals one by one…

As if the daisy somehow held the secrets of our future.

Absolutely thrilled (and slightly buzzing) to have been invited to participate in the annual @art_and_eats_the_gap event

This incredible Brisbane celebration of art, food and community has so much planned — and this year I’ll be creating a 5-hour live art installation right there in the heart of it all.

The Alchemy of Live Art is exactly that — art unfolding in real time. No edits. No do-overs. Just instinct, energy and connection with the audience.

I’ll be transforming a once-neglected wooden front door into a large-scale mixed media artwork — connecting the piece to the location, the atmosphere and the natural surroundings of the night. Watching it evolve layer by layer will be part of the magic.

And here’s the exciting bit…

The finished door will be available to purchase via silent auction on the night all proceeds will go to @trek2healthau

Can’t make it on March 14th but want to place a sealed bid?

And does it have to stay a door?

Heck no.

With a little imagination it could become:
– a statement table
– a bold shelf unit
– a dramatic wall piece

This week at Create Club… we went BIG.

We’re exploring scale and texture — and when I say scale, I mean GIANT bugs.

Because when you make something bigger than life…
you start noticing the details.

The fuzzy legs.
The shiny shells.
The tiny patterns you’d normally miss.

Texture isn’t just something you see —
it’s something you feel with your eyes.

Drawing giant bugs pushed the students out of their safe zone —
away from what feels comfortable…
and into brave.

And that’s where confidence grows.
That’s where experimentation happens.
That’s where they learn to challenge the norm.

Colour? That was completely up to them.
And honestly… I’m obsessed with the results.

Recieved my pack in the mail with 3 canvases for me to create on and my ideas are ready to go!!

What is it? What’s the hype?

Well the Incognito Art Show is a major Australian, not-for-profit,, and highly inclusive art event where thousands of original A5-sized artworks are sold for a flat price of $100. The key feature is anonymity: artists—ranging from amateurs to famous professionals—remain secret until the buyer purchases the piece. All proceeds support professional development for artists with disabilities.

2026 it opens in Brisbane too which is awesome
Can’t wait to get involved.

They’re paint-splattered lunches, packing cars to the brim, lugging all the things, and showing up fully - again and again.

From little hands creating GIANT bugs, to teens needing space, trust and gentle guidance.
From studio floors to school halls.. and back again.

Long days, full heart
This is what art for wellbeing looks like in real life.
Wouldn’t swap it for the world.

It absolutely drives me nuts when students don’t put the pencils back in the right colour trays…
I mean… WHY when it looks this lush?

So when the studio goes quiet, I take a few quiet minutes to reorder them.
Therapeutic? Yes.
Slightly OCD? Also yes.

But honestly… look at it.
Totally worth it.

What drives you nuts in your business? I’d love to hear
